Bradley Beam is correct, preconceived notions prevent people from trying wines. I witness this behavior on a regular basis, with consumers thinking North Carolina wines are all going to taste like a scuppernong.

I hate to compare the brash Fred Franzia to the late Jess Jeckson, but he's in the same boat Jackson was in 10 years ago. Snobs derided Jackson for homogenizing California chardonnay in the 90's, but damn if it didn't get millions of people off the wine drinking sidelines - and employ a generation of wine industry professionals.

Two Buck Chuck isn't the sexiest or most polished beverage on the market, but I'll bet that Busch Light sales are inversely proportional to $2 Chuck's.
