Thank you for a great article. I have tried to dispel this myth for years with my customers, while showing that histamines pose more of an allergy issue, mainly with Chardonnay, Cabernet, Merlot and Pinot Noir. Slowly but surely, Americans are figuring it out....

Thanks for the kind words. I'm also convinced that the sulfite myth is part and parcel of the passive aggressive relationship Americans have with wine. We like it, but we're not supposed to drink it. It's booze, but it's treated like it's royalty. So why woudln't we think what we do about sulfites?
